A substantial part of the community college marketers have told me that “there is no need to market,” and “we have students come out of the door,” so why the market?

The first thing that comes to mind is how would it be if the economy comes back, not the current situation to be so. As I have already written, you must always plan ahead and think long term. So let me lay some long-term strategies and practical tips to make your community college market.

advertising on local radio stations (35-45 miles from campus), especially the strongest AM and FM rock station a
participate in as many high school
as possible advertising on the luggage rack rotunda at the local major airport (it works!)
purchase geographically targeted ads on the largest local online newspaper
maintenance of relationships with many local high School counselors as possible

offer free tastings to cooking classes in the community
offer free haircuts to the Community for Beauty / Cosmetology classes
purchase a billboard advertisement on the highest traveled local highway
-engage in social media, especially Twitter, Facebook, and online college communities offer chats a week the students in their community or college search help, do not sell your school to the first, tries to help the students appreciate this, and more often than not, choose
