@jarden69 I agree that Gary DID inherit his family business – but he also chose to STOP all advertising, print, promotional activity to the point that his business was losing 24% a month, because he wanted to start from scratch by using social media to drive his business. THAT is the bit which inspires me, because all of us wanting to build big brands – can look at exactly how he started and build out our own niche – in an area which completely inspires us.

@jarden69 Great comment, and good on the people of YouTube for rating your comment the highest. This new “highest rated comments up top” feature is great. I’m currently reading CRUSH IT. So far, it seems like a bunch of pep talk and a lot of motivational speech.

@jarden69 I am sorry but I have to disagree, we always hear about people that have silver spoons and end up being lazy, consumers, sucking the dollars out of their fathers bank account. Gary Vee has too things which set him apart that is his hustle and belief. There is no advantage from turning 1 million dollars into 50 million. The same principles apply with turning 20, 000 a year into 100,000 a year. Increase your hustle and focus your belief!
Thanks for the reminder Gary Vee

@nickpetticrew You need to put that out of your mind. He turned a $2M company into $50M. Why can’t you turn $2K into $50K? It really doesn’t matter where he started. You have the ability to do the same. It might just take a little longer to get into that seven figure range. Negative feelings do not earn any money. If you believe you are going to fail then you will. Stay positive and keep working. Always keep your goals in mind. Good luck to you.

@jarden69 stop being such a F***ing lamo you retard. Think about what you’re essentially saying. You’re having a moan about the fact that it’s going to take you a year or two longer than someone with an advantage. Well get over it lame face. Stop making excuses for yourself and get started.

@Jarden69 – he is the one that helped build that business. He applied the principles that he wrote and taught to get to where he is. Great stuff Gary!

I think saying that he started with an advantage is a cop-out. I think in his speech he addresses this. Even if you have obstacles, do whatever you have to to overcome. With this guys amount of energy I think he still would have made it. He also says, he was the one, that tripled the size of his family’s business, and then frieked out and totally changed the way he was doing business. I’m giving up using loss of money as an excuse. There is so much work available on the web.

This guy speaks the truth work hard. But I can’t stop watching lost it’s to good.

@nickpetticrew your most valuable asset is not money it is time and pressure. Gary’s philosophy has nothing to do with money, look how passionate he is about his brand. If you are not getting the results you are looking for apply more time and more pressure and you will see the turn around!

I couldn’t agree any more. The unfortunate truth is this guy is not like us since he started with that advantage.
I’ve been trying to get into internet marketing and i’ve quickly realized the only way I can succeed in a quicker time is if I started with an $ advantage, and I don’t.
