This book’s title is “Amazon Top Seller Secrets”. Ok, that drew me in, I bought it and read it. I noticed that it was all just painfully obvious stuff that anyone who already sold on Amazon would know. The chapter on shipping has this passage: “Shipping is the one concrete and tangible way you can touch your customers. Getting this part of the transaction right is imperative. ” Wow, now that’s insightful, what a secret! Actually, this book would be good if it was simply retitled “a complete beginner’s guide to selling on Amazon or the web. ” That might be a more fitting title. I’m sure this book can help some very green newbies but there aren’t any secrets here so the title is not correct.

This was a very general treatment by authors that do a good job interviewing experts but aren’t experts themselves. I hoped for more insights and specific ideas. I already learned almost everything in the book (80%) in my first 60 days selling on Amazon. I’ll be looking for better titles to provide useful info to grow my business.

Up to chapter 4 and so far there weren’t any “secrets”.
Hopefully I’ll get to the meat and potatoes soon!
As a side note, the reading is very clear and easy to understand.
I love the brief case studies or success stories.

It was a superficial and mondain read. Did not tell me anything new. Just a bunch of garbage strung together – learned more having an associate account and writing to Seller Central directly. Skip this and do a search on the web for more info for free. I will be doing a B2B website on how to make money on Amazon and plan a mass scale e-mail campaign to back it up. Like most “How to make money on the web” gimmicks, they fall far short from the mark and are a rip-off. This is a rip-off. . . and he did research – research my eye!
